the week after

Well i am trying to be positive and upbeat about my time as a missionary becaseu i really do love it and i love being here but i have to be honest a little and tell you the truth. This week sucked. And we decided that it is becaue we had a baptism last week so now we are going to face opposition. But we still had miracles happen and good things still happened. it was just a really sad week and hopefully we can get on the rebound soon!

I think i told you last week about monday and a little bit about tuesday but tuesday morning elder limb came and said goodbye to us and went to get transfered. it was really sad. We ahd to pray so hard for charity for him at the first that we really got attached to him and really love him so it was hard to have him leave. Then we went and got our tire fixed cause we ran over a nail and then we emailed and we had a lesson with savannah and we gave her a nice BOM D&C and Pearl book that was really big print so she could read it easier and we had a BOM lesson. it was the worst lesson ever! our member went off and the spirit was not there at all! it was so bad! then we went to check on some LA's and everyone works here so noone is ever home. then that night we had michaels first new member lesson. it was crazy. he will never stop talking and goes off about the randomest things. in his prayer he thanked heavenly father for me that i could be there to harrass him. he is a nerd.

wed- we had a lesson with michelle but she cancled and we even had a member coming with us! it was really sad. then we went to this families house that wanted us to come over cause they are having a hard time and they wouldnt even let us in! they turned us away. so that was frustrating. then we checked on some LA's and we got yelled at by this guy cause he doesnt want to be a mormon anymore. it was sad. then we met out new DL and they gave us some more BOMS casue we were out. and it was really weird. I didnt get a good first impression of him. then we met with deborah and we rode our bikes there and we almost died cause it was so hot. and then my head almost got ripped of by atree and really hurt my neck and then to top it all off when we were talking to deborah she called me fat! haha it was a really good day. We had dinner with the reynolds and then we had a less on with jared but that got cancled too so we just wnet tracting.

thu-savannah called us and was really upset. she was reading the BOm from the beginning and she got caught up on the indtoduction where it talkes about the changes that were made that SEEM appropriate.  we met with rose and her friend was supposed to come but we couldnt find her. so we just taught rose which was good. she is really sweet. then we met with sister harper who hasnt been talking to us for about two months. so that was good. she made us cookies cause she thought we would be mad that she had been ignoroing us. haha what a nut. then we had an appt with the lady we met a coupell weeks ago during HOP but she wasnt home. so we just tracted her area and we found this sweet little old lady names bonny that let us in and talked to us forever and we are going to start teaching her. she was really excited to have us come back. she has the cutest little puppy that looks like a fox and is named foxy. haha then we had dinner with my favorite person brother boise. he is so cute. then we went to do our HOP and hardly anyone was home and the people that were home didnt want to talk to us. so that was pretty sad. then we went to some LA's homes and none of them were home either so we did more tracting.

fri-it was POURING RAIN. i love it when it rains cause then it is not hot. so since it was the end of the month we were totally out of miles so we decided that we would walk to the church for district meeting. it had stopped raining so we figured we were safe but as soon as we got outside of our apartment gate it started dumping agian. and by the time we could have got back to our apartment we would have been soaked so we just decided to keep walking. so we walked to the church in the pouring rain. its about a mile walk so not bad at all and it was actually relaly fun. and i would much rather be soaking wet with rain then with my own sweat which is what it has been the last week. i looked like shmeegal by the time we got to the church. it was funny. then after DM and lunch we went back to the church to do training all together and i almost killed elder weeks our new DL. we were talking and getting to know him and he was all like so i need some help form you sisters. so my sister is thinking about going on a mission, but she is writing this missionary right now and they are in love so she doesnt want to leave and he will come back before her, he is serving in denver or something, i dont even know somewhere in colorado. and then elder gilbert was like whats his name? and weeks was like i dunno it starts with a B and Gilbert was like Elder Bolles? and weeks was like wait how did you know that? and i guess my face was pretty funny cause weeks was all laughing and like ahhhh you should have seen your face. So they think its funny to make fun of me and they planned that the other night. what little turds. im glad they think they are funny. so after that was all over i now have to pray for charity towards elder weeks. we did alot more tracting and then we had dinner with the conners and brother conners was in the ICU for 4 days and they didnt even tell anyone so that we could help them! little stinkers. but he is doing better now. then brother Trahan and brother Clifford came over to move the dryer from the old elders apt in to ours casue ours is broken and we would just walk over there and use is but brother Trahan didnt want us to have to do that so he just came and moved it for us. What a little  Shweety! Then he gave us this plate of cookies and the VT message to take to this LA lady that sister trahan is supposed to VT but they couldnt find her house and there son is coming home from his misison today so she was pretty busy. so we went to find this LA and she was so excited to see us! she said that she hadnt been to church for 12 years but she had been thinking about it lately and was wanting to cme back and thenwe showed up. so we had a good talk with her and she introduced us to her daughter and they are super nice. she siad she was going to come to church and she gave us her number so we can go back and visit. so that was really cool. the first LA that we have foudn that is actually excited to see us. haha then we did some tracting.

sat- we did service for the reynolds. it was really fun. the sulphur elders came with us and we dug out all this grass and made a flower bed. sister reynolds is so cute. she was asking us about eating with the elders casue we arent allowed to so she was like well can you do service together or do i have to seperate you? and we said no we can do it together its fine. so you can do service together but you cant eat together? well thats relaly crazy. Well can you have a snack together then? we said yeah i guess, then she said a fried chicken snack? haha so we had a fried chicken "snack" after we were done. they are the cutest little couple and they take such good care of us. then we went to contact a referral and she only wanted a bible but we are going to try and teach her when we go back to give her a bible. then we did some more tracting and tracting then we had a appt with michelle but she cancled again and they moved! so we couldnt even just show up to there house. so we found Gails wife who is LA and talked to her for a while but she WILL NOT come back to church. so that was sad. then we did more tracting and we were walking on this street and travis former investigator)drove past us. then we decided to go on this one street and we were just knocking houses that we felt like we should. so sister barotn and i both had the impression that we needed to knockn on this one house so we went and knocked and the guy who lived there is a former investigator and he was so excited to have us back. Hooked and Decker were teaching him but they kinda gave up. so we are trying to decide what we need to do and why we were prompted to knock his door. his name is carl and he is an amazing artist. travis texted us for the first time in months and was like. i seen yall out exercising. it was pretty funny. he still isnt ready for us to come back. he is relaly busy with work. but he is still friendly. then we had an appt with kizza but she wouldnt let us in.

sun- it was pouring rain again. i love it! its so flooded and wet. which makes the misquitoes even worse. we had lunch with the cliffords and sister clifford has beenhelpping us alot with keisha but now michelle is being weird and wont let her go to yw and isnt talking to us and they moved. so that is really sad. our miracle family is having a hard time. then we did more tracting and all the sudded i had the strongest feeling that we needed to go check on the Varner family even tho we hadnt seen them in months. so we went over there and we talked to james for almost 2 hours. he is relaly sad casue he believed what the elders were teaching him and he wanted his family to learn but they like there other church and dont want to talk to us. but we had a good talk with james and he was really happy to see us. i love him so much. he is so funny. he just grabbed me and gave me the biggest bear hug. whoops. haha he wants us to come back and visit him when we are in the area and he asked us to pray for him cause he is trying to quit smoking. he is such a good guy. i am really sad that his family doesnt want the gospel.

I have thought alot about the week and why it went so bad. i dont know why all of our investigators are having a hard time.so savannah hung up on SEEM and she says thet Bom must not be true if changes were made that SEEM appropriate. so that was sad. and she isnt talking to us now.

And how i have been thinking about tis week. we are here to bring people closer to christ. that doesnt always meen baptisms. we have helped multiple people come closer to christ even tho they didtn get baptized. we are planting seeds. i was telling sister barton how sad i am that james and his family arent going to join the church and she made a good point, she said that i made an impact on his life and he will now look at mormons in a good way becasue of how i treated him. It is really hard to just have to go around and plant seeds all the time when you want to be harvesting, but as long as we are working hard and helping others come closer to christ we are doing our job. I love being a missionary. it is the hardest think i have ever done and it hurts my heart more then anything i have ever done. but i am learning how to love unconditionally and to love those that are hard to love. I never thought i would be able to love as many people as i do now. my heart is full and every night i pour out my sould in gratitude to my heavenly father for blessing me with the opportunity to meet and work with the pelple that i am. I Know this church is true with all that i am and i am so blessed to be able to help bring sould unto christ. I lvoe you all and i am so grateful for my amazing family that supports me and brings me up when i am having a hard time. I lvoe you all and hope you have a good week!
