Michael got Baptized!

Hello family. How was your week? I hope it was a s good as mine. This week was awesome but ended kinda sad.
Tue- we taught rose who is LA and she gave us a referral so we are going to start teaching her friend Gloria. she was so cute and so excited to tell us about the missionary work that she is doing. it was awesome! We visited Deborah and when we were leaving we talked to her neighbor and gave him a BOM. he told us he is the biggest sinner in the world. i think he was kinda crazy. haha we had dinner with the trahans. i love them so much. they take such good care of us. then we taught Michelle and her family. we taught them i am a child of god and it was so cute! we had FHE and taught them about Heavenly father and how he loves them. it was fun. they said the reason why they left church was cause they were embarrassed cause all the kids were crying and they were so late. then we had a lesson with Michael and the Morris and Michael decided that he wanted brother Morris to baptize him. he called him the big dipper. it was pretty funny. so now we call bro Morris the big dipper. i am Pocahontas, sister Barton is skeeter.
wed- we met with Michael again and we were teaching him more commandments and he was all like how many commandments are there? and i said that it doesn't matter how many we have because they help bring us closer to Christ. and he said if i was any closer to Christ i would be in his belly. So he thinks he is doing a really good job and he said he is practically perfect. haha crazy guy. we helped sister Gibson clean her school bus. it was fun. but it was so hot i was soaking wet with sweat. The sulphur elders came too and we had a good ol time. we had dinner with a LA lady and she is in denial about being LA so its hard to work with her. but we did our best. then we just tried to contact more LA and former investigators.
thu- Michael had his baptism interview and he told elder limb that he is going to be the next prophet. haha so watch out. then we had a lesson with a lady that we met during HOP(hour of prayer) last week and that went pretty well. she agreed with everything we were teaching her. so we are going back Thursday to keep teaching. he name is Elizabeth so you can pray for her! then we had our HOP lesson with maw maw Jones. she said the sweetest prayer i have ever heard. i started crying. we had a really good HOP and we every door we knocked they said that we could come back. so it was really good. hopefully they will be interested when we start teaching. then we had Susan and the Morris's. they are so crazy. susan is really starting to fit in with them and she loves them a lot so church is easier for her. its good. that was our last new member lesson but she has so much fun she wants to come to Michael new member lessons. hahah
fri- district meeting was good. it was really long and then we went to a restaurant after and it took forever and i was really grumpy that day cause i didn't sleep. so it was bad. and it was so unbelievably hot i felt like i was melting. but then it started raining so it was a little better. we played in the rain. we looked for LA and former and then we met with Michelle and her family again and we committed the three oldest kids to baptism. so now Michelle, kisha, aleysia, and William are all getting baptized on the 22 of june. so exciting!
sat- was a crazy day. our tire was flat when we woke up, and we still had one lesson to teach michael before his baptism and noone would come with us. but then susan came to the rescue and she said she would go with us. so we went to her house and helped her clean then we went to michaels and we had a good lesson and she talked about her baptism. it was really good. then we went back and helped her clean and then they took us to lunch and we talked to Rod and Dallas about the church for awhile. we are still working on trying to teach them. Then we went home and got ready for the Baptism and we went to the church to practice our song that we were going to sind with the elders. but like always they were late. so we just talked to brother burnthorn and he toldus that elder limb was getting transfered for real. cause elder limb had texted us earlier and tole us he was getting transfered but we didnt believe him. but it was for real. then we were sad. but the baptism went really well. we sang nearer my god to thee with both sets of elders. and someone the elders were teaching got baptized too. right after michael came up out of the water he looked at bro morris for a second and then was all like "Good job big Dipper!" haha so that kinda ruined the spirit. but he was so happy. we had cake after and then the elders changed our tire. then we went and tried to meet with kizza but she wouldnt let us in. so we looked for ppl to contact.
sun- michael wore a bright pink shirt with blue and green stripes on it to church where he got confirmed. it was so funny. crazy guy. he said that once he was baptized his true identity was going to come out. so when the elders are bro burnthorn were taking him home after church he told them that his real name is abraham emanuel martinez and his real dad is the owner of walmart. hahah nut. but the mission pres said that as long as he is will ing to keep commitiments and wants to be baptized it doesnt matter if he is crazy. so after church i was in so much pain i couldnt stand up. my back has been killing me ever since the chiropractor. so i iced my back all day and just read the conference ensign. it was sad but i literally couldnt stand up.
Things are going well and besided elder limb getting transfered we are all good! we didnt think we liked him that much untill he was leaving. then we were really sad. he told us that we have changed the way that he looks at sisters cause we work so hard. so that is good. Miracles are happening every day and i am so happy to be a missionary! i am so blessed to be a part of this great work and there is nowhere else i would rather be! i love you all so much and hope you are all having a great week! i LOve you! klsdgiojkll

This week was amazing! But i had a hard time also. I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder which made my whole right arm swell up and my fingers. i couldnt do anything with it for three days. it just hung there. it was annoying and i was in so much pain. But i went to the chiropracter today and i am already feeling better!
Mon- we had a zone pday with two zones. it was boring. me and sister barton just wrote letters the whole time. and we got referrals for the elders that are in beaumont casue we just talked to everyone about the church while everyone else was doing ransom sport stuff. We got a referral from mormon.org and so we went and checked it out. we thought it was going to be a fake one cause it talked about 9 kids. but we had nothing to do so we went anyway. well it was a woman named michelle and she told us this story about how she ordered holy water on line from some preacher guy and after she sprikled it in her house bad stuff started happpening. her husband lost his job, her baby came premature and their car broke down. and they really do have 9 kids. so she said that she found our website and she prayed before she did anyting and she felt good about it so she requested missionaries and then we showed up. so we prayed and the oldest who is 13 wanted to go to yw.
tue- we met with michael and we taught him the law of chastity and he was really open with us about his past life. it was weird. sister trahan was weirded out. but we are used to him now. then we met with savannah and invited her to be baptized for the third time and this time she was more open to it she just had a bab experience last time she was baptized so she is worried. but she promised to pray specifically about being baptized. it was a really good lesson. then we had dinner with bihop and his family. theyare so awesome. then we met with brother boise. i love him so much. he is so cute. and he started coming back to church!
wed- we had zone conference so we were in orange texzas all day. it was a really good meeting. our pres talked about how we are the swift messengers; hunters and fishers that is talkes about in the scriptures. we are the generation of missionaries that the prophets saw years and years ago. it is so awesome to think about how the prophets looked trhu time to our generation and saw all of us 19 year old girls serving missions and being those swift messengers that the lord has sent. it really made me want to work harder and be even swifter and to really share the gospel with EVERYONE!!!! This was the day that my whole arm went numb and my fingers looked like sausages, not fingers. it was weird. we went to yw with keisha, the 13 year old. she loved it. when we were leaving she asked us what she needed to do to join the church. and she decided to go on a campout friday and satruday withthe yw. it was awesome!
thu- we met with michelle and we taught her a L1 and we committed her to baptism! she told us how after we left monday that the evil spirit was gone from her house and it was calm and peaceful. she knew that we were sent from the lord, so she knew that whatever we were teaching must be from the lord also. she said that us coming was a Blessin' (black lady voice) we taught michael and he is ready to be baptized this weekend! its so exciting! we had dinner with the beveridges and did our hour of power with them. we got one return appt from it and two potential gators and placed one Bom. it was very successful. we also passed out a ton of pass along cards to some little kids. they were cute.
fri- we met with michael again and he started crying when he talked about his grandma being in heaven and how he wants to get back there with her. it was a side of him we had never seen before. it was good. we were supposed to meet with savannah again but she cancled and was crying, so we are thinking that her mom is not ok with her joining the church. so thats too bad. we will have to pray for her mom to soften her heart towards the church. we had dinner with a family and when we were giving the lesson their little girl smacked the mom in the face with a can of play-doh and the mom was so embarressed and upset that she basically kicked us out of the house. it was funny. we couldnt stop laughing once we got int the car and the whole night. sister barton had to cut up my meat for me casue i sitll had no use of my right arm. i feel ike a baby! haha
sat- my are was killing me and all of our appts cancled on us so we went home so i could ice my shoulder casue sister crawford told me that i needed to. so we called a bunch of ppl and tried to set up appts but noone would answer. sot hat was rude. we had dinner with a family and then we went to a baptism. the elders in sulphur had their first baptism. his name is gage and he is 18. he reminds me alot of channing. that is what he looks like. he is really sweet. sister barton and i sang i believe in christ at it. it was scary but it was good. it made him cry.
sun- we got up extra early and got ready for out meeting and then made breakfast for michelle and her family to help them get to church. after our meeting we went over to thier house and everyone was ready. they were all so cute in their little church clothes! we had the elders go get gail for us casue we were gone. so when michelle and her family were coming to church they got lost. our church is on sale lane but there is a sale road. so they were on sale road and they got to sacrament when there was 10 minutes left. i had to say the closing prayer. it was scary. then they were going to leave after being there for 10 minutes but we got them to stay for about 15 and then they went and got all the kids and left. they said that there kids werent ready for that, they dont know anyone and it was scary for them. so it was sad casue they left but atleast they came! Michael was jealous that we were not giving him our full attention and gail was so mad that we didnt get him or take him home that he wouldnt even look at us. just siad ok i see how it is. your tired of me. so everyone just wants our attention and we cant give it to everyone. there is not enough of us to go around. we went and taught some LA and that went good. it was a good sunday.
we had 7 gators at sacrament mtg we have 5 progressing gators and we got 5 new gators this week! we are so blessed to have all of these pelple to teach. i cant even tell you how many miracles we see every single day! the lord is really hastening his work and the pelple are coming to us. I am so lucky to be a missionary right now and even tho i miss you all so much there is no where else i would rather be there right here in lake chuck on my mission serving these beautiful people! I am so blessed and I love being a missionary! i hope youall have a good week and that you are working on the challenge that i gave you! love y'all so much! have a good week.

I am so happy!

Family, it was so great to talk to Y'all yesterday! it was so nice and i am not even trunky like i thought i would be so that is good! it was good to hear your voices and to hear bum getting a deeper voice. so cute! and bubba doesnt sound like a little kid anymore. ahhhhh so sad. im sad to be missing all these changes but im glad that i am were i am and i know that this is where i am supposed to be! i just wish y'all could be here with me. they should start making family missions. that would be awesome! you move to a ward that is pretty small and then just do missionary work and help build up the ward. maybe i will have to write the first pres about that. hahah
mon-was a good day. we were trying to contact formers but the one we were trying to find moved but we left a BOM with the guy that lives in the house now. so that was good.
tue- we met with savannah and had a good meeting. we brought sister reynolds with us and she was amazing! she brought the spirit so strong! w3e decided that we need to bring her everytime we go and teach anyone! haha then we went and talked to this LA lady that hasnt been to chuch in over 10 years cause a bishop offended her but she said that she would love for us to come and visit her every once in a while. so that was good. we had dinner with mama jones again. she is so cute. i love her. she walked us to our car after and she was so proud to be walking with us and everyone we passed she siad " these are my friends, they are missionaries." it was so cute! then we met with michael and we had to set his date back casue he loves coffee and said it will be hard for him to quit.
wed-we had new missionary training. we had to get up at 4 in the morning and get ready then drive to sulphur to meet the elders and the memeber that was going to drive us. it was a long day but the trainging was good. it was mainly for the new mish's but i felt like i needed a trainging just for me! we got home and 6 and then we went and saw kizza. we had a good talk with her and we talked about how sometimes we prevent our own prayers from being answered because we dont do what we need to to have them answered. i told her about how i was preventing my homesickness prayers from being answered becasue i would constantly think about home. well obviously the lord cant take that away if im going to be thinking about it all the time. so i realated that to how she wants to improve the quality of her life but she wont go back to church and quit smoking so she is preventing her own prayers from being answered. but it was good and it really made her think.
thu-we tried to contact formers all day. we only found one that was home and she wasnt even being taught! she was just talking to the sisters and they would talke about the bible becasue that is all she believes. so we talked to her for a long time well just listened to her for a long time go off about her life story. she would make a good mormon. but she is dead set in her ways. we did our hour of power with susan and she said the most simple and shortest prayer for us, but it was humble and full of faith and we had our best hour of power yet! we placed two copies of the BOM and we got numbers to call and set up appointments. and htis one guy wanted to come to church with his two kids. it was awesome! then we met with our investigator Jared. he is going to get baptized soon. i can feel it. he is so ready and preapared for the gospel. we had a really good lesson with him and we had a miracle finding a member to come with us. so that was awesome.
fri- it was pouring rain all day. i loved it. the roads all had about 4-5 inches of water on them so it didnt even look like a road and when you drive thru it the water sprays everywehre so it was like we were all boats instead of cars. it was pretty fun. we had district meeeting and that was good. the elders are so weird. i dont understand them. but i guess i never will. we contated formers and LA again and noone is ever home. its really sad. the Zl came and blitz out area agiain and we sent them to meet with michael and they think he is awesome so that was good casue sister barton thinks he is crazy. haha he kinda is but not too bad. he just wants to be an indian and he says that he had a vision that he walked th trail of tears and when he woke up his feet were all blistered so he really did walk the trail of tears. haha funny guy.
sat-we contacted this guy that we have been looking for forever. he rides his bike to the library so we finally found him and we talked to him and we are going to start teaching him. his name is gregory. so you can add him to the prayer list. we had all of our lessons fall thru today. surprise. haha but we did get to do service for a LA later in the evening. so that was good.
sun- was obviously amazing! church was good. and we had michael and savannah both at church. but the guy we met during Hof P didnt come so that was sad. but they gave roses to all of the women for mothers day and when we walked into class elder limb looked at me and was like you cant have a rose, your not a mom, so i said, ok if you want to play like that then i wont cut your hair, or hem you pants, or make you cookies, and he said ok ok you can keep the rose. hahah that little sassy. we went to the reynolds to call and they are so cute. i love them. then we went to a family the wards house for dinner. it was really good. we had grilled zucchini and chicken and sausage. it ws real nice. then we took cookies to some of our others moms here in the ward. it was a good day. I am so glad that i got to talk to y'all. even tho it wasnt that long i t was amazing and i am so happy yo9u are all doing so well! I pray for you constatly and i am glad that the lord is hearing my prayers. I hope you all have a good week and remember my advice that i told you on the phone! You are the best family anyone could ever ask for and i am so blessed to have you! And kaci i will do my best to get your present toyou by friday but i have to find the perfect thing for you so if its late dont hate me! but i will be thinking of you all day friday! have happy birthday and know that your sister loves you! and so does sister barton!
Love you all soooooooooooooooooooooo much! have a good week!

You come to Baptize me?

Well hello family. This week was probably one of my best weeks so far. We were super busy and we are doing really well! We are being exactly obedient and so the lord is blessing us. I was thinking about how we have to gain the trust of the members so that they will refer there friends to us, and i thought about how it is the same way with God. We have to gain trust with him so that he will trust us with his children. And that is exactly what has happened to us this week. We are having ppl come to us, its amazing!
mon- I cut everyones hair. It was fun. Then we went to visit Brother Boise,my favorite old man ever. Love him. he is so cute.
tue-We taught savannah and we invited her to be baptized but she says she doesnt feel like she knows enought yet. but she said she would prepare so we got a soft commmitment out of her. so that was good. she is so awesiome. i lov her. She has had a hard life but she has the most positive attitude ever! we taught the guillory's and things arent going so hot for them so only she was there and then as soon as he got home we had to leave. but we ahd a good lesson with her about temple marriage. it made her cry. then we had dinner with bishop and his family. it was lots of fun. i love our bishop he is so awesome. he has a less active or investigatior in his home for dinner every night of the week! what a good guy. he works so hard to help the work move along! i love him. Then we went biking in the dark and went and checked on a part less active family. I think i mentioned then before. she is less active and he is awesome. so we went and bhad family scripts with them. it was good.
wed- we went to find some referrals and it was a family that is part member but the husband is the member and he is in jail so we talked to the wife and she is crazy. she has three little kids 3, 1, and two months. And the house was a mess. ash trays everywhere with cigs in them, food and bones from food all over the place, dirty clothes everywehre it was so sad. and the poor little kids. i wanted to cry! expecially for the baby. she was getting mad cause the baby just wants to be held so she was shoving a bottle in his mouth cause she didnt want to hold him and he was in his car seat drownding in milk. I almost punched her. And i was really close to breaking the rules and holding a baby. I was so sad. She was not interested in the church or anything just wanted us to babysit for her. so then after that we had a lesson with Rose and that was pretty good. her friend was there so we talked to her about the church and gave her a BOM and she wanted to come to church. Then we met with Michael. he is so ready to be baptized! he has already read the BOM and has a testimony and has a testimony of JS and everything. Then we had dinner with the Rex family, they are really nice, then we went and checked on some LA and found this really cute old lady that is a LA burt doesnt consider herself a mormon anymore. so we are going to start working with her.
thur- we taught savannah again and we talked alot about faith cause we had her read alma 32 and about praying to know and all this stuff. she says she has got an answer for some of the stuff but not all. and her little brother was there and he wants to start coming to church too! so taht was good. Then we did our hour of power and knocked on 30+ doors and only about 5 answered and the only ppl that would talk to us was this gay couple but we gave them a BOM so that was good. haha Then we met with susan and the morris's. that is always interesting. they are all crazy. they talk about food for the first 5 hours before we ever get to the lesson. haha oh goodness.
fri- we had zone mtg and that is always fun. sister Barton and i had to get up and talk about obedience because we were doing this challenge and i guess we won cause we are the most obedient and sister Barton wouldn't say anything! haha she is still shy. then we went on exchanges so sister Barton went to orange and sister Hyde came to lake chuck with me. We went and checked on a bunch of former investigators and no one was home. but we knocked on a door and talked to the people and they let us in and we talked and they are pentacostal so they were not interested but sister Hyde worked her magic and we talked for 30 min about the BOM and we gave them both a copy and they wouldn't take a return appointment but the guy said that that could change after he reads the BOM so that was good. we had a appt with a potential but we couldn't get a member to come with us so we just talked to him on his porch for 20 min and gave him a BOM and we are going back on thurs. but he is ready to get baptized, i can sense it! haha then we went to some formers that sister Hyde taught when she was in lake chuck and that was interesting. nothing came of it.
sat- we went to the Nurshing home and no one was there so we jsut talked to gail. he has a crush on us. its so funny. then we drove half way to orange so we could switch back. then we had a LONG day of just checking on formers and potentials. no one was home except for one lady and she told us to come back later. then we started calling random numbers in our phone that we didn't know who they were and we got two appts from that so that was good. then we had dinner with crystal.
sun- we had correlation mtg then we had to go fetch Gail for church and then Michael came to church and LEE SAVOIE CAME TO CHURCH!!!!!!  it was the best surprise ever! and he brought his two sons with him. i cried i was so happy! he is so cute. after sacrament he told me that some people should take a public speaking class before they go up and bear their testimonies. haha silly man. then we met with a former and her husband. we are going to go back sometime. they were nice but not really interested right now. then we met with Michael and commited him to baptism on the 18th of may! yeah pretty awesome! then we had dinner with a family and she is mexican so it was a good cinco de mayo feast. haha it was a good day. but people think that Michael is crazy and i think that he has a crush on sister barton. but he is 50 so too bad for him. hopefully no concerns will arise with him and he can keep his date.
THis week was really good and we are being so blessed by the lord in being able to find people to teach. keep praying for us so that we can find even more! there are so many people that need the gospel! I love you all and i miss you so much! i am excited to get to talk to Yall on Sunday! I cant wait! I don't know how it works or what time but probably around 4 our time i would guess so three for yall. I love you lots! hope yall are having a good week i love you sooooo much!

Miracles Everywhere

Hello fam-bam. well this week was really amazing and i wont be able to even describe to you how i feel or what exactly went on. But i will do my best. I serve an Awesome God, in the words of crazy Linda, But i agree, I do serve an Amazing and Awesome God.
Mon- Nothing too exciting. we went to this rec center with all the elders and played volleyball. it was really boring and the elders are so weird, but then we went to look for some LA's and we were not very successful. Noone was home.
Tue- we got up, exercised, did all of our studies and then I have been feeling so depressed and down on myself that i was making myself sick i guess so i was throwing up so i went back to bed for most of the day. We had a lesson with the Guillory's at 4 and it went really well. Sister Barton was scared cause that was our first time really teaching a kind of incestigator but she did really good, they fed us dinner and they wouldnt quit talking so we were there for 4 hours! it was so bad and we tried to leave but they literally wouldnt let us. but finally we got out and then we met the Moss bluff elders at the church and they gave me a blessing. it was really nice.
wed- i was still feeling mega depressed but i just got up and did stuff anyway. we had a meeting with a potential but she stood us up so then we went to see mama fruge. we taught her a L1 because we need to be better at teaching the LA we work with from PMG so that went well. then we went and saw Deborah but we can only talk for about 10 minutes with her cause she is not mentally there so we just read from the BOM with her. Then we went to the library cause we had to take this survey thingie about how we use PMG cause we have a area 70 coming soon and he wants to know stuff i guess. then we went to Sulphur to have dinner with a part member family. sister Duplantis. she is so funny. Then we went to Leslee's house and we had dinner with them too and we had a good visit with them. She is so awesome. I am going to miss her so much! \
thur- was out temple day! i was so happy, i really needed that. we left at 7 and didnt get back till 6;30pm but the houston temple is so pretty! i wishi could go there more cause i really miss the spirit and the peace that i feel when i go to the temple. i loved it so much. When we got home i was throwing up again so we missed doing hour of power cause we didnt get home till 6;30 and then i was throwing up. But we had a dinner with the reynolds that we had to go to so we went and i just didnt eat anything. sister reynolds was pretty upset but i didnt want to barf all over her white carpet.
fri-we were in the middle of our studies and we got a text from sister Guillory and she said that she gave a BOM to her neice and she seemed really interested and would be open to us coming over. so she gave us her number and we called her and she was so excited for us to come she was screaming on the phone. sister barton thought she was on something cause she was all like noone is ever that happy to have us come over. haha it was nice for a change. so after district meeting and everything we went over to savannah's cause she wanted us to come over ASAP so we went and did a purpose lesson and then just went right into L1. she was so receptive to everything that we were teaching and me and sister Barton taught so well togher! everything flowed and the spirit was so strong it was amazing! savannah was so into it she wanted us to come back ASAP and keep teaching her so we made an appt for the next day. we had dinner with a family in the ward and then we went and checked on some referrals that we got. One of them was a family from Nepal and they all live together in the same house. There is a maw-maw and papa, mom and dad, and a son and his wife and their daughter. the son is a member but hasnt been to church for 18 years so we went to go visit and he wanted a BOM cause he didnt have one and we are gonig to go back and hopefully start teaching at least his wife but hopefully the whole family! then we went out to the middle of nowhere at the very edge of our area to find this other referral but it was 8 and he was in bed. so we left a note. then we looked EVERYWHERE for this other referral but it must be a bogus address cause we couldnt find it. Sadly that happens alot. we will get referrals from ppl who think it is a joke to make the missionaries go on wild goose chases or send them to there friends who have no idea who we are. its so dumb.
sat- we met with savannah in the morning and taught L2 and she really liked it. and she had read the whole L1 pamphlet and filled out all the questions in the back! she really did some studying and she said that she was talking to God that moringing about how noone should add or take away from the Bible casue we have the BOM but she said that when they were talking that God said it was good so she is going to keep reading the BOM. Oh and i forgot to mention that she is legally blind and can hardly see but she can see enough to barley read so she is reading! I love her already she is so amazing and she was definatley prepared for the gospel. i wish yall could be there to hear the things that she says. she is so spiritual and she has a deep and personal relationship with God and I wish that i could be more like that. It blows my mind. We have to use some of These bullet points in the how to begin teaching section of PMG so i said this one that talks about how as you come to accept the message of the gospel you will face challenges but God will hlep you and when i said that she says, well obviously, cause when you are doing what God wants you to do and what you are supposed to do, Satan works harder. WOW. Blew my mind. she is so ready for the gospel i cant even believe it. So our lessen was awesome with her. then we had lunch with the Conners and Sister Conners is doing better she just has to wear a heart monitor shocky thingie incase her heart does something and it will shock it. so we taught then a L1 also and it was good. they relaly needed it. and it was good to remind them of things. brother conner even said that he needed that cause it helped remind him of things that he forgot since he joined 10 years ago. then we went to Leslee's to say goodbye. it was really sad. i love her so much. But she will be happy with her mom in utah so its a good thing. Then we went to Crazy Linda's again and she was having a really hard time. I dont know exactly how much she is really interested in the Gospel again or just the help that the sisters give her. cause we did all her dishes and went thru a bunch of papers cause she was just too depressed to do it. but then she committed to coming to church and she siad this awesome prayer asking for strength to join the right church no matter what she has to sacrifice. so we were all excited. then we went and met with Kizza. she is having a really hard time and she is almost at rock bottom. we had a good talk and she actually listed intently to what i had to say. i was led by the spirit so much i didnt even know what i was saying. we made some goals with her and she is going to start praying for her to not be so stubborn, cause she was praying for an answer and she got that and knows what she needs to do she is just too stubborn to do it, so she is going to pray to be humble and lose her pride. she is awesome. she had me read her Patriarcle blessing and it made me cry! Heavenly Father has so many blessings he wants to give her she just needs to be worth to receive them! I love her so much. She is the sassiest black lady i have ever met but we are good friends and we understand each other. Sister barton was scared of her. haha she takes some getting used to for sure. Linda called us at 10 and backed out on church. i was so sad. We called one of our referrals cause we didnt get his apt number in the referral so we called him and he was all excited for us to come over and he was actually a reaferral that came along time ago when sister e and sister Cheney were in lake charles but he said he wasnt ready so he turned them away. But now he is ready and excited for us to come over!
sun-Correlation mtg was good, we went and fetched gail from the nursing home again and it was raining. so we pushed him in the rain. it was funny. Savannah came to church! she was as happy and perky as ever and she loved church! it was really good. she is excited for us to come back on tuesday. after RS a girl in the ward who just got back from BYU and is thinking about going on a mission asked if she could come out with us sometime. uhhhh yeah!!!! we are always looking for ppl to come out with us and we can never get anyone to come! i was so happy! we had lunch with a family in the ward and then we came home and did our studies and i thought my head was going to explode. But i drowned myself in deep blue and i felt better after awhile. We were supposed to have susans new member lessons but she just got back from disney world and was really tired so she fell asleep, but we were already over at the morris's so we just stayed there and they made us treats and we talked about how we can better help the ward in being friendly and to fellowship the LA members and the new converts. cause i feel bad bringing ppl to church and noone talks to them. that is why we have so many LA members. its really sad. our referral that we left a note for called us and he is basically ready to get baptized. he talked to us forever and was telling us how he is so sick of all the other churchs and he almost moved to utah cause he wanted to be with mormons but his mom is really sick so he came home to Louisiana. We are teaching him wednesday! i am excited.

Today we are going to play barber shop cause all 6 elders in my district plus sister Barton want a hair cut. haha and i have to make cookies cause its one of the elders Bday today. so that should be fun. Ok so sister Barton, she is 19, we got our calls on the same day but she didnt go to the MTC till april 3rd. she is a month older then me. she is from Manti and she is super skinny and is a dancer. she was on drill team and what not in highschool. she is a cute girl. we get along really well. She is awesome and we have a good realationship. she calls me mom and sometimes i call her a baby, but we have fun. she was really quiet at first and i had to drag stuff out of her to get to know her but now we are good and we have burping contests. haha. we talk to each other in weird accents and pretend to get in fights when we are around the elders. our elders are so weird. but its whatevs. our DL is in his 6 months to sexy so all he eats is a banana for Bfast two cans of tuna and an apple for luch and then whatever the members feed him for dinner. he runs three miles every morning and his companion rides his bike next to him while he runs. haha they are so weird. Me and my DL get in sass fights sometimes casue he is really sassy, but he is good. I dont know whatelse to really tell you. I am feeling alot better. I am trying to not be depressed, it is my own fault. When i was with sister E we were not very obedient at all. She was not motivated and i didnt know what to do so it made me not motivated. But sister Barton and i are kicking our butts into shape and we are striving to be EXACTLY obedient.and most days we are. I cant even tell you how blessed we have been because of this. Just read my email and notice all the miracles we saw this week and all the new ppl that we have to teach and even somone who wants to come out with us! Obedience brings blessings, i know that for a fact! We also placed 6 Boms this week which was good. I am going to keep working harder and harder to be obedient to prove to the lord that i want to be here and that he can trust me with his children to teach. i love you all so much! youare the best family ever and i am so lucky and blessed to have you! have a good week! love Yall!
