You come to Baptize me?

Well hello family. This week was probably one of my best weeks so far. We were super busy and we are doing really well! We are being exactly obedient and so the lord is blessing us. I was thinking about how we have to gain the trust of the members so that they will refer there friends to us, and i thought about how it is the same way with God. We have to gain trust with him so that he will trust us with his children. And that is exactly what has happened to us this week. We are having ppl come to us, its amazing!
mon- I cut everyones hair. It was fun. Then we went to visit Brother Boise,my favorite old man ever. Love him. he is so cute.
tue-We taught savannah and we invited her to be baptized but she says she doesnt feel like she knows enought yet. but she said she would prepare so we got a soft commmitment out of her. so that was good. she is so awesiome. i lov her. She has had a hard life but she has the most positive attitude ever! we taught the guillory's and things arent going so hot for them so only she was there and then as soon as he got home we had to leave. but we ahd a good lesson with her about temple marriage. it made her cry. then we had dinner with bishop and his family. it was lots of fun. i love our bishop he is so awesome. he has a less active or investigatior in his home for dinner every night of the week! what a good guy. he works so hard to help the work move along! i love him. Then we went biking in the dark and went and checked on a part less active family. I think i mentioned then before. she is less active and he is awesome. so we went and bhad family scripts with them. it was good.
wed- we went to find some referrals and it was a family that is part member but the husband is the member and he is in jail so we talked to the wife and she is crazy. she has three little kids 3, 1, and two months. And the house was a mess. ash trays everywhere with cigs in them, food and bones from food all over the place, dirty clothes everywehre it was so sad. and the poor little kids. i wanted to cry! expecially for the baby. she was getting mad cause the baby just wants to be held so she was shoving a bottle in his mouth cause she didnt want to hold him and he was in his car seat drownding in milk. I almost punched her. And i was really close to breaking the rules and holding a baby. I was so sad. She was not interested in the church or anything just wanted us to babysit for her. so then after that we had a lesson with Rose and that was pretty good. her friend was there so we talked to her about the church and gave her a BOM and she wanted to come to church. Then we met with Michael. he is so ready to be baptized! he has already read the BOM and has a testimony and has a testimony of JS and everything. Then we had dinner with the Rex family, they are really nice, then we went and checked on some LA and found this really cute old lady that is a LA burt doesnt consider herself a mormon anymore. so we are going to start working with her.
thur- we taught savannah again and we talked alot about faith cause we had her read alma 32 and about praying to know and all this stuff. she says she has got an answer for some of the stuff but not all. and her little brother was there and he wants to start coming to church too! so taht was good. Then we did our hour of power and knocked on 30+ doors and only about 5 answered and the only ppl that would talk to us was this gay couple but we gave them a BOM so that was good. haha Then we met with susan and the morris's. that is always interesting. they are all crazy. they talk about food for the first 5 hours before we ever get to the lesson. haha oh goodness.
fri- we had zone mtg and that is always fun. sister Barton and i had to get up and talk about obedience because we were doing this challenge and i guess we won cause we are the most obedient and sister Barton wouldn't say anything! haha she is still shy. then we went on exchanges so sister Barton went to orange and sister Hyde came to lake chuck with me. We went and checked on a bunch of former investigators and no one was home. but we knocked on a door and talked to the people and they let us in and we talked and they are pentacostal so they were not interested but sister Hyde worked her magic and we talked for 30 min about the BOM and we gave them both a copy and they wouldn't take a return appointment but the guy said that that could change after he reads the BOM so that was good. we had a appt with a potential but we couldn't get a member to come with us so we just talked to him on his porch for 20 min and gave him a BOM and we are going back on thurs. but he is ready to get baptized, i can sense it! haha then we went to some formers that sister Hyde taught when she was in lake chuck and that was interesting. nothing came of it.
sat- we went to the Nurshing home and no one was there so we jsut talked to gail. he has a crush on us. its so funny. then we drove half way to orange so we could switch back. then we had a LONG day of just checking on formers and potentials. no one was home except for one lady and she told us to come back later. then we started calling random numbers in our phone that we didn't know who they were and we got two appts from that so that was good. then we had dinner with crystal.
sun- we had correlation mtg then we had to go fetch Gail for church and then Michael came to church and LEE SAVOIE CAME TO CHURCH!!!!!!  it was the best surprise ever! and he brought his two sons with him. i cried i was so happy! he is so cute. after sacrament he told me that some people should take a public speaking class before they go up and bear their testimonies. haha silly man. then we met with a former and her husband. we are going to go back sometime. they were nice but not really interested right now. then we met with Michael and commited him to baptism on the 18th of may! yeah pretty awesome! then we had dinner with a family and she is mexican so it was a good cinco de mayo feast. haha it was a good day. but people think that Michael is crazy and i think that he has a crush on sister barton. but he is 50 so too bad for him. hopefully no concerns will arise with him and he can keep his date.
THis week was really good and we are being so blessed by the lord in being able to find people to teach. keep praying for us so that we can find even more! there are so many people that need the gospel! I love you all and i miss you so much! i am excited to get to talk to Yall on Sunday! I cant wait! I don't know how it works or what time but probably around 4 our time i would guess so three for yall. I love you lots! hope yall are having a good week i love you sooooo much!
