100 days

Well this week was so weird. but it was good. I hit my 100th day away from home on Thursday and 80 days out in the field. almost three months out in the field. crazy stuff! it doesn't feel like it has been that long but it feels like a million years since i have seen you guys! i miss you so much!
Mon- we had a good p-day  we did the usual then we went to Leslees house and they fed us po-boys and we had a good talk with her husband who is not a member and he said the only think that prevents him from being a Mormon is that he believes in reincarnation and Mormons dont. so that was weird. then after that we went to outback with the elders to have a farewell dinner before hooker and erickson left. that was really fun. i am going to miss the 4 of us being together. we had lots of fun.
Tue- brother burnthorn, our WML came and got us at 6, we loaded up and went to get the elders then we were on the road to kingwood by 6:30. it is a 21/2 hour drive and we had to be there by 9, because me and elder decker had a training meeting. that was for an hour and then all the babies walked in. I was telling erickson that i was going to be punished and that my baby was going to be someone that i knew from one of the places that i had lived before and it was going to be someone that i didn't get along with. well guess who was one of the babies that walked in? ANNA DAINES. I was so scared and i was like oh my gosh i was right, this is going to be the worst thing ever and i was freeking out. so then we all went into transfer meeting and all the babies stood up and introduced themselves and all that and then when Anna stood up she said hermana Dianes and i had a huge sigh of relief. haha it was scary. Then i got put with sister Barton and it was all good. the ride home was interesting. Elder deckers baby is really funny. he was talking to me cause my baby was totally silent. so we were talking and i was asking him where he was from and he was telling me and then he was like its actually part of the colorado springs mission. and i was like oh really. my special friend is going there on his mission. and he was like your special friend? you mean your significant other? then he siad wait what is his name? and i said Elder Bolles, then he was all shocked and was lik I know him! I talked to him at the MTC outside the bathroom, we were talking and he asked me where i was going and i told him, then he was all like "My girls in Texas! Tell her that i said Hi!" haha it was pretty funny. he said it to me in a perfect garett voice. it was so funny. So he told me taht he forgot my name and who he was supposed to say hi to, but hten it was me. Brother Burnthorn like to joke with ppl so he was telling Elder Gilbert all sorts of crazy stuff and for some reason elder Gilbert thinks thought that louisiana was the country so he was alll like "do the members give us fresh milk?" hahaha so funny. i like him already. he is a good kid. So we got home and got all situated and sister Barton unpacked and i took her to the store so she could get food.
wed- we went tracting  ALL DAY LONG! it was so frustrating and we talked to so many ppl and only one person said we could come back and she didnt even want to talk about the church, just missions cause she was a missionary in africa for 45 years for some baptist church. then we had an appt with a potential but she wasnt answering the door so taht was anoying. then we did more tracting
thur-we met with travis and it was a really good lesson. he has read alot of the book of mormon. he read MSH 15 and was really hung up cause it talks about how christ is the father and the son, so he thought that we were lying to him about believeing in  the trinity. I was led by the spirit exactly what to say. it was AMAZING! i dont even know where the words or the thoughts came from. but his JW was there again so that was annoying but he wants to keep reading and learning more. we had a dinner with members set up and a lesson for our hour of power but then cancled so we had HOP by ourselves. we wer driving around trying to find a street that we felt good about knocking and we were talking about how we wished we ahd more chances to do service. well right then we noticed this girl in her car that was stopped in the middle of the road. it was dead and noone was helping her and hse was crying and scared and all the cars were just honking at her and driving past. so we stopped and got out in the pouring raina nd hekped her. i had to help her but her car in Neutral cause she didnt know how and then we pushed her in the rain out of the road and onto somones driveway cause if we left it on the side of the road it would get hit. then she couldnt get ahold of anyone so we went and asked the ppl if she could leave her car there. it was interesting experiece but we were both so worried about helping her that we didnt say anything about the church. stupid. but it was good taht we could help her. then we found a guy on his porch during HOP that talked to us for a hwile and he siad that he would want to come to church so taht was good. but everyone else just told us that we were crazy for being out in the rain and that we shouls go inside. but one man told us we were like jesus cause even if it was raining jesus would be out spreading the word too. so taht was nice.
fri-district mtg was interesting. our whole district is basically new. ther are three of us that are the same plus the welches and then we have 5 new ppl. we got another set of missionaries in the ward so our ward had 3 sets now. we had a lesson with rose, then we had 2 potential appts but they both fell thru and we even had crystal come out with us. so that was frustrating. then we went and checked on some LA and made appts to meet with them, and then some told us they wer not interested in the church anymore. The ward has us go check on LA that noone knows who they are.
sat- i was not feeling good and i had a fever but my baby was anxious so i just pushed thru it and when we were sitting there doing training we got a call from a random number and the lady on the other end was all like " Oh good i thought i lost your number its been so long" me " oh yeah well this is us" her" are yall allowed to come visit me or not anymore?" me" no we could come visit you if you want" her "oh good. well when can you come?" me" whenever you want us to" her "ok come today at noon. and I have all this stuff that i am going to fix us for lunch and then we can talk" me" ok. . . . . well can i get your address, i dont know how to get to your house, i am new to the area." so then she gave us her address and we still had no idea who it was but we went anyway and so we got to her apartment and turns out that she is a former investigator from 2009. she told us her life story and she basically implied that she wants to start investigating the church again. But it was kinda scary cause there was this creepy guy that kept looking in the window and then she told us that she is bipolar and taht she just got out of the 10th tower. aka mental hospital. and that she has a loaded gun in the house. so it was creepy but we felt good about her when we left and so we are going to start teaching her again. after we left sister Barton was all like " when we were eating i was thinking that she probably poisoned us." haha but we are still alive so she must not have. then wer rode our bikes all day long. because we are getting sick of tracting with no success so our ZL told ust aht biking brings miracles so we decided to bike. we found one guy that we talked to and he was pretty interested and wanted to come to church but he wouldnt take a BOM but he gave us his number so we are going to see if we can start teaching him. then Sister Bartons bike ws not working so i decided taht we should say a prayer so that we didnt have to walk our bikes all the way back to our appt and then this guy popped out of nowhere and had tools to fix it. that was a miracle and our prayer was answered. he was in a hurry tho and didnt want to talk with us. then we went to the nursing home to visit a LA and he told us that we were the answer to his prayer and that he wanted to come to church the next day. so taht was good. then we biked more and we had an appt that fell thru like all the rest of them have this week. and the stake pres and his wife even came with us and the guy wasnt home. so then we biked more and we talked to lots of ppl but noone was interested in learning m ore so that was sad.
sun- after our meeting we went to the nursing home to get gail and push him to church in his wheel chair. he is a big guy so i worked up a sweat pushing him to church. but we were glad that he came. we had lunch with a family in the ward. the wife is from Ukraine and the husband is from here and they met in New Orleans at a singles ward there cause she was working on a cruise line and was going to church during one of her off times. they are pretty awesome.then we had a lesson with susan and the morris's that was good. susan is awesome and has the strongest testimony she just needs to help her family now! then we had a lesson with Kizza but she cancled on us.
I am having an interesting time being a trainer and it is really weird. but sister Barton is awesome and we get along good. We are going to turn lake Charles around and get so many gators! we are going to ride our bikes like nobody's business. so that will be good cause i am staring to gain weight. haha too much good food down here. But keep praying for me! i know that god answers prayers. Everyday we pray to see a miracle and we always do. even if its not the miracle that we want to see its still a miracle. I am so glad that i am a missionary right now. It is the hardest thing i have ever done but it is so rewarding! I cant even explain the feeling that comes from serving the lord. I miss yall so much and I hope yall have a good week and keep doin work with lacrosse. I have the best family ever and I cant even tell you how much i love and care for each one of you! Yall are the best. Love you soooo much! have a great week! love you!
